It was created because there was no terminal emulator for Linux with features like continued edit fields, gui windows, cursor progression fields etc. From there it has seemed to go off in all sorts of directions. Now there are 3 modes: • A basic mode that most emulators I have found are. Jagacy TN3270 Emulator is a straightforward application that helps you emulate IBM terminals, featuring SSL and proxy support. Back in the days, the TN3270 was used to connect Windows PC users to. • Enhanced mode that implements the features that I wanted like masked edit fields and those listed above. • The third is a gui mode that turns the bland green-screen into a windows gui (See screen shots). History The project was open sourced to give something back to all those hackers and code churners that work so hard to provide the Linux and Open Source communities with quality work and software. The original developer wanted it to work on different operating systems, thus Java giving the “J” at the end. Aliases There is simple support for aliases. They can be created by using the alias command like this: alias ls=ls --color $*. They are pretty much just doskeys in /config/aliases. One per line. And make sure to handle arguments by putting argument variables $* somewhere. Updating + Building There is not much going on here. But if you want to get most recent updates for Conemu just tick auto-updating in preferences. If you want to clone the repo and build it yourself, you will need PowerShell >=3.0 and 7z. Google duo for mac download. When you are set on that, just run scripts/build.ps1.
